Teens should disconnect on vacation because you need to see the real world for itself! You spend constant periods of time on your phone watching people enjoy their lives outside and have the time of their life (not saying this in a bad way). Why shouldn’t you? Spending time away from your phone has so many other benefits but while you are on vacation, you should only use it for pictures and frequent text. Every vacation that you go on you should take full advantage of because odds are, you won’t be there again in your life! Take advantage! Instead of being on your phone, go and explore all of the opportunities your vacation has to offer. Go check out a new waterslide or simply go down to the pool to relax. Remember you don’t have a lot of time till you are back home doing stupid boring school work. Why waste it! Being a teen myself, I have learned to start living life in the moment instead of being on my phone. When I do this, I tend to have an even better time especially when I’m not worrying about what other people are doing or what dumb drama is happening. Overall, I am a happier person on vacation when I don’t pay attention to the digital world we live in. You will remember the time spent with your family and all the fun times you had when you are older. You won’t remember someone's instagram post 3 years from now.
